Hmmm...that article included Golfs and GTIs.  No recall notice that I've seen includes the hatches.

I had my switch replaced last winter when the ABS light came on and my brake lights quit working :x

It did say that the recall would start in April

I actually called Osborn yesterday afternoon and confirmed.  My car is going in next Saturday.  The response I got when I told the service writer that I needed to schedule a Saturday because I need to trailer my car over was:  "Uhhhh, okay, sure."  :D

I think mine was replaced a few years ago when the last owner had a problem when the brake lights did not come on.  I will give Emich a call and see what they want to do.  Better safe than sorry.
