Window controls with Remote
« on: January 12, 2004, 03:34:35 AM »
OK, so with a vag-com I have been able to mod A4's and my allroad to roll the windows down with the remote.  My friend now wants this capability for his passat (2001.5).  Anyone have the codes for this?

I did try the vag-com site and a search here and on VWvortex before asking. ;)

There are no codes for the Passat, I believe the only option for the passat is an aftermarket unit such as teh Alien Remote.

As usual, I could be wrong, but that has been the popular belief all these years ;).

I went ahead and purchased the Pro-Diag for the Palm this weekend at the ASW diagnostic demo day.  It is a pretty sweet too.  Now able to do all the stuff that the Vag-com does, but with the Palm instead of laptop.

It only took about 2 min to change the ar codes.

We can try to meet some time this week after work, you can look at wheel spacing and we can change your locks.

Gragravar, so you can now role your windows down with your remote on the Passat?  If so, what are the codes, I have a VAG and would like to do that.  Sorry I didn't see this before, or I would have been willing to help.  I don't come here as much as I used to.  Also, maybe let me know the codes for the All Road, and I can work on Jon's car, since we are doing lunch this week.

Thanks

Mike, Andrew has an allroad, not a passat...and I think he will hook me up cause I want to check out the spacing on his 18" wheels along with offset anyway, I have a plan in mind...so I think I will have him do my codes, but I will find out what they are so I can let you know.  I wonder what other things you can do to my car with your VAG.....

Mike and Jon -

so you have them, here is a link to the Audi codes

http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec36.shtml

my allroad is now coded with 15981, giving me:

Window control with remote
Safety Central Locking**
Horn sounds when arming
Lights flash when arming
Automatic door lock/unlock

The things you can configure are all under module 35 (Central Locks)

and you can configure:
Add Window Up/Sunroof close, and Window Down with remote.
Add 1 touch unlock of all 4 doors, trunk
Remove horn honk when arming
Auto lock/unlock of doors (Doors lock at 15 mph and unlock when key is removed)

So Jon - as for meeting to take care of this, how is tomorrow (Tues)? around 6:00p

Sorry VW guys you have to buy the Alien Remote to get the remote windows. I looked into it all for my girlfriends Jetta. Its like 45 bucks I think for the VW module.

Check out this website that explains it well with an install.

http://www.b5glx.com/alien_remote/remote.htm

Hope this helps, I can do the mod for anybody with an Audi. I have a list of options you can change preprogramed into the Central Locking System.

Anyone interested let me know as well. I am down south at C-470 and Kipling
