Koni yellow shocks
« on: January 13, 2004, 02:23:39 AM »
I purchased koni shocks and an eibach pro kit for my car..
The big debate I have been having is how to set up the konis...
I have heard every different answer under the sun...
bottom line is I want a car that handles well.  I drive my dad's 225 tt and I love how that handles, also I am really into the s4.(one day I will own one)
What is the best set up?  I have heard 3/4 turn on the front and 1/2 turn on the rear... suggestions?

it depends on a lot of things...
i have KW variant2 coilovers (uses Koni schocks) and mine are screwed down as stiff as possible,

but then again i have to have them that way to lessin the rubbing in my wheel wells...since someone sprayed miricle grow on the lips of my brocks.

you can go ass stiff as you like, since your car is FWD, i would go a little less stiff in the rear, to keep the cars balance.... but it is always up to your cars needs and mods, plus your driving habits and desires...

Ok, I drive hard...I do not race but I will down shift to wrap my car around a turn, I like to accelerate quickly...I am planning a chip upgrade after the suspenseion...apr or something...torque is a big concern...I like a car taht moves..I have 16 inch rims I am planning 17s...  Basically I desire a reliable and SAFE car that has some power and is a bit of a terror on the road.

Hey Mike( 618),

I have the KW v2 Coilovers as well.  I have my fronts set to 1/3 towards full stiff and the backs at full soft.  With them both at full soft, the front bounced around too much, so I tightened it down.

Hey Mike,  you talking to me or Mike?

I actually don't think the 10" width will fit on mine, but I do think it fits on a B5.5 just fine.

Hey Mike send me an email to winprice@earthlink.net and let me know where and when and I may come hang out for a little.

I'm working the pager shift for work and a bunch of shit just hit the fan with a service pack we released, so I may get screwed and be stuck on the phone all weekend, but hopefully, I'll be able to break away for a little while.
