If my week wasn't bad enough already...
« on: March 07, 2007, 01:33:36 PM »
I go and crack my front bumper this morning by pulling too far forward into a parking spot and catching it on the curb. All winter I have been so very careful about snow piles, potholes, ice chunks on the highway, then it gets nice and I do this.

I am so angry with myself right now. I hope I didn't damage the FMIC, I don't think it hit, but the bumper will need to be replaced eventually. Just something I would prefer not to do.

Sorry to hear Jay  Is it something that can be repaired with plastic welding (or something like that)?

Not sure if it can be repaired as I just did it this morning. I am going to take a better look at it at lunch. The guys on AW say about $1K for a new one, so I need to start saving my pennies.

I couldn't stand it anymore and went and looked at it. It MIGHT be repairable. So now I just need to go see Randy to et my oil changed then find time to get into the body shop to see what they can do. So now I guess it's time to figure out who to go to.

I guess the usual recommendations are Apex and SVE?

SVE...I will be taking some trim pieces to them in the next couple of months.  I have never hears a bad thing about them.  For me, it is worth the drive back up to Westy/Broomfield!!!

I certainly hope it is repairable, and that it will keep the cost down!!!

What is SVE?  I need some work done too...

I have an FJ fender with the Toyota cancer and pretty much my whole B5 needs a respray since Jen has been driving it...no wait, the license plate recess still looks good.  Other than that... :?
