New Belgium is in Fort Collins!  Great tour but it's an hour away.

Friday Night, and every other night, is fun at the British Bulldog.  Happy hour is 3-7 and 10pm to 12am:

I could be talked into drinking a pint there.

You may want to stop by O'Dell's brewery between New Belgium and Lefthand.  It's on the south side of FTC.  Although, neither Lefthand or O'Dell's actually provide tours like NB does.  Well, at least that's how it was a few years ago.

Where's the New Belgium Brewery in Denver?  Alan and I may have to make a detour on our ride tonight...  :D

Hmm Joel, you frequent the Bulldog? I live four blocks from there, so I spend a bit of time there myself...

Nice - I had some warm flat beer over at Pints Pub a while ago, it was a very different experience! I think I could deal with the flat part better if it were about 5-10C colder! :D

I know what you mean. Some "Real ales" and "Live ales" that they want you to drink at room temperature taste very different when chilled. But be careful, some taste better, some worse.....wow that was deep....

I'm with you on the "non soda" beer....The fridge in the shop where i work is usually filled with such delights as...Budweiser, Coors, Coors Light, PBR....and so on

I know everyones taste is different and that it's "what you grew up drinking" but isn't quality a factor? Unless you are an alcholic, quality matters more than quantity....am i wrong? If i drink a six pack of say..Newcastle Brown...i feel a nice buzz.....or i could spend half the money, buy a 32 pack of PBR, drink the whole thing, have a wierd bloated sickly buzz, wake up in the morning with a headache from hell and spend the rest of the day shi#$ing through the eye of a needle.

sorry about the rant, but crap beer is a waste of everyones time....Budweisers CEO probably does'nt agree!!

I don't like Bud. I usually like my beer dark and heavy, a good stout, or an after dinner porter. Sometimes, I'm in the mood for a medium, lighter something or other, but not often. I like my beers lightly carbonated too, but not like a chuggable soda. I wonder about the guys that would rather chug a beer on a hot day, than water, or even Sprite or something. Go figure.

I sort of ate to admit, but not really that I'm a HUGE fan of NB's 1554. I love a Belgian White too..

I'm at the Bulldog maybe once a week?  Hard to say.  I'm an Irregular.  I tried the pub quiz last Monday and did OK with the help of the bartenders, so I might try that a few more times when I can.  I learned the Bulldog is only 25 minutes door to door from my place with a passenger (HOV lane) and if I'm a bit less-than-strict with the speed limit.

The food is quite good at the Bulldog and they have cold fizzy yellow beers too, even Pilsner Urquell on draft which is sublime (much better on draft.)

See you Friday,
-Joel.

My beer of choice is IPA, although I do like several Mexican beers (which are still light years better than Bud). Currently my fridge contains Bridgeport IPA, Sierra Nevada Celebration (another IPA), Murphy's and some Tecate. :)

So is this a GTG? When are you guys going over there?

You'd like Fullers ESB, it's not flat or warm.  Cool and nicely, slightly fizzy.

What time are we meeting?
