Yeah, I think you definitely qualify for SM. My numbers and done and picked up already. Call John at Signs by Tomorrow in Lakewood (Ian posted their number in my business card recommendation thread)- it was only $30 for mine.

Eric, if John can run them for you tomorrow I can pick them up (I'll be there by 3 to pick up my trailer - wait until you guys see this ;) :o ).  Just tell him to do the same format that he's done for Jay and me.  I signed you up on the thread for course setup (6am).  I haven't seen a response from Kinch regarding the crew, so keep an eye on that thread.  If you don't get course setup, the Chief of Workers will assign a duty based on what heat you're running.

Buzz me if anyone has any questions.  I'll be at WA Saturday evening around 5pm.

Ummmmm, yeah, just ask John to make you some magnetic numbers in the same style as mine and Jay's (the numbers are larger than the class letters).

I also just found out that I'm running heat 1 while SM is running heat 2.  IF I have a passenger seat, you all are welcome to come for rides ;)

Argh, if I'd checked the forums this morning, I might've just ordered some numbers.  So since I'm in SM, I guess I'm running heat 2, is that correct? Any idea when that might start?

Well, I'm Novice and have to pre-grid before the 8am novice course walk. So I'm assuming for everyone in SM...at the same time

Everyone in heat 2 will pregrid during heat 1 for tech inspections.  Heat 2 should start around 11am, depending on how many cars and reruns occur during heat 1.

Ben, call John and see if he can include you in the orders.  He opens at 8:30, and tell him I sent you.

I may have to get the S4 out soon.  I had been waiting for my coilovers to get fixed. The are on the car as of this morning so I can come play with it now.

Darn it.......still in SM 8O

Ian: I didn't get the forum message till just right about now, so I didn't order. :(

Cole: If you run SM, we'll be in it together. I have a feeling the A6 is going to be a little out of its league.

Honestly the S4 is out of it's league in SM.  You find stuff like supercharged E46 M3s in SM

i'll be there, styling in my comfy slow A4. It should be fun.

They need to make a subclass for overweight, underpowered Audi's. SM just doesn't seem right.

I only see one other Audi registered. This should be interesting to see how much slower i will be vs the properly prepared cars in our class. Nothing like sticking a AWD K03'd 1.8T like JR & I in the same class a Supercharged M3 and Subi STI's w/ R-Compounds.

Maybe i will have to bring down my r-compounds instead of running street rubber.

Mad fun in Colorado Springs was had by all, I think!  My best time was 64.2, which I am somewhat pleased with considering I am not used to my A6 and it needs to be...customized to my liking.

Props to Ian, not just for some awesome racing in the badass GTI, but also for all the assistance! Lunch and/or drinks are owed at the next opportunity.

Yeah...I'd like to come up with a really good reason why I wasn't there, but I won't say something like a friend need me or something...it simply included, Ted, Randy, beer and about $30 in Taco Bell :?

Thanks Ben - I feel really good about yesterday, even though I know the car's still faster than the driver.  It was the highest point total for an event that I've ever earned, and knowing that I gave up an additional ~10 points by being in FP over SM makes me feel even better.  That course sure was fun!!!

It was a great course. I've never raced on one quite that open before. Nice to let the 2.7T straighten itself out a bit. I also liked that you looped back over the course...although that little cone box threw me off, hence the +2 on the first run... :D

Here is a link to the pictures of my car from the autocross race on 04.29.  As you can see from the first two, I had some "problems" figuring out where to go that cost the lives of two comes.
