While I was in Durango we came across this wreck up towards Silverton:

It was a looooong way down that embankment.  We did not think the driver had survived, mostly because we'd seen a rescue squad taking it's time headed down.  We saw tire marks on the last few corners before the wreck, looked like he'd mostly lost brakes but for one that was locking up.

hope he makes it too.
