Dubs Along the Rockies -- July 25, 2004
« on: February 12, 2004, 09:46:11 PM »
This is a little ways out, but we can at least get it on the radar.  Unfortunatley I will be out of town the whole week prior and should be just getting back in on that day or the next so I wont be in attendance.

It is looking to be even better than the last two years combined so plan out your mods and be prepared to not only represent RMCB5, but B5's in general.

Dub won last year, can you beat him this year?

Here is a link to the official site with more details:

I was waiting for someone to post about DATR. There's gonna be some tough competition this year between B5's. :P Winston can't take the title two years in a row and I've been planning for that, ever since last year's DATR. muhahahahhaha

I am there.  Mark,  you are on, but I have a lot of paint work to do to make my whip as clean as yours, so I have to favor your ride this year.

Hey Mike, you sure are lippy!  I talked to APR last year and they were going to come out if we had a section for Audis to so I want all of the Audis to attend and represent this year.  Zev came  list year with his S4.  Let's get the word out and turn out en masse...

Ok, I now have some help with gathering sponsors... WHEW!!!!!!!

Oh yeah... and I know I have said this before but MAD PROPS and HUGE thank you's go out to Winston for making contact with a huge list of folks last year. Had it not been for that initial contact, DATR would not have been as good as it was.

This year looks to be even better!!

Also, the website is up and running and we have complete online registration system setup this year. You can even purchase swap meet spaces and t-shirts in advance if you wish. Registered competitors get a $2 price break on shirts if you buy it through this system.

Not so sure on this BBQ plan after seeing the dismal amount of input that poll got...
 :-(

Oh well... there will still be a party of some type, just not on the scale I had in mind. Anybody want a hotel room to stay down here on Saturday night?

Here's a little update...

We've picked up loads of new Sponsors that aren't even listed yet on any of the official sites/forums.

Should be some awesome door prizes gave away this year...along with a good showing of actual vendors onsite the day of the show.

Also..for the door prize/raffle giveaways this year we are holding separate drawings for air and water cooled prizes.  This is something new we are trying this year and a first in Colorado as far as I know.

That way Jay doesn't end up with a 67 Beetle tune up kit or whatever it was he won last year, LOL

Oh and one more thing... I selected the B5 and Audi classes judge this week. No I'm not going to tell you who it is, LOL  I think you guys will be very pleased with the judging system we are using this year (if you're hardcore into the competition thing)..again something a step ahead of the rigged participant judging and biased "shop owner" judging that we're used to here in Colorado.
