Whatever happened to the group buy on this item? Just asking, as we all will need this at some time or another.

Just save it in a few big jugs and take to Checker autoparts. Its free to drop off there. At least for engine oil it is. Also check with a few mechanics. They often times have tanks and/or barrels to store until its picked up.  They might let ya do it once in a while. Or at least charge ya a small fee.

I have been waiting on anyone needing this to go ahead and buy it.  Since it won't be used that often, I wanted to save  up at least 2 or 3 people that needed to do this to get it.

Also, Worff has one and has used it, so we can always ask him in a pinch.

I'm at 43,000, and in need of this also. I'm just trying to get everyone motivated as to what we all are going to do. I'd buy it myself if no one else was going to, but why pay full price when we can all split it.

Well I am getting ready to order plugs and a pollen filter from Virtual World Parts, I can add the bleeder to my shopping list if you want Winston.

Actually, I am just waiting to hear back from them ona  question, so if I hear back from them first and it;s what i want to hear, I'll pick up the bleeder.  That way we might save on shipping.

Bleeder has been ordered through our sponsor Virtual World Parts.  With the discount is was $42, not sure on the shipping yet, but I ordered some other stuff with it so I don't expect it to be much.

Good idea Jay, and thanks!  It looks like it is time.  Whoever hosts the next garage day, we can add this to the list.  I'm due for a brake bleed in June, but I'll probably do it when I change my brakes.

So, I am waiting on my MAF refund from VW to do that, so VW, get the lead out!

So instead of everyone chipping in to pay me, you'll just give some cashish to Jay.

LOL...I didn't mean to junmp in and get it, just figured since I was getting parts.  I guess I will probably do it as soon as it comes in.  I am getting my oil changed tomorrow.  I may need some pointers on doing the plugs.  I think i can handle the pollen filter.

I guess that will get me through most of the 40K maintenance :).

No worries!

The plugs are almost as easy as the pollen filter.  on a scale of 1-10, they are a 2.  They would be a 1, but they require tools to get to.
