Macbook with Windows XP, Vista and running VAG-COM.
« on: November 20, 2007, 12:17:18 AM »
Today I decided to see how well Boot Camp ran Windows XP.  So far everything is installed and running great.  All of the hardware is detected and drivers installed via the OSX disk.   ;D

...and the all important reason for doing this, VAG-COM!  The software is working GREAT!  I tested it on the GTI and it ran very nicely.  :D

What is Boot Camp, exactly?

Buwahahaha  I am now running Windows Vista and running VAG-COM.

Boot Camp is an Apple program that ships with OS 10.5.  It allows the ability for Intel based Apple computers to boot either from OS X or from MS Windows (XP, Vista).  Here is the link to Apple's web site that explains it: Boot Camp

Now for the bad cell pics.

That is sooo sweet.  Now, I need to buy myself a new MacBook Pro to replace my PPC 12".  I have been holding out to see if Apple will come out with a small Pro model like the one I have and love...

I have had it for a couple of years but I think it was around $350.  The Ross-Tech site has the current pricing.  This is what I picked up: Vag-COM Hex-USB+CAN interface

I understand the desire to get a VAG-COM, but remember that a number of us in the club have them and would be more than happy to work with you if needed.
