Sold my B5 S4 for 2008 RS4 Noob
« on: November 28, 2007, 10:36:32 PM »
I'm new to the forum but had stumbled across it before since owning my S4 for 6 years. Me and my fiance would love to meet some other Audi owners and B5 fans to shoot the sh*t with and maybe make some new friends. I just picked up my 08 RS4 from Mcdonalds Saturday and cannot stop thinking about anything but this beautiful machine!

Thanks,
PW

Wow, you are officially our new bestest friend! Both excellent choices in cars and congrats on the RS4.

Winter is a little bit slower but we still try to get folks together when we can. There are commonly all euro car get togethers about once a month. I don't think there is one this month though because of the holiday's.

We are long overdue for a group garage day or detail day. Hell even a burger and beer night which is always nice!

Thanks for the info and kind words. I had been far to busy with work to truly enjoy my S4 as i should've. Now that I have the RS4 it demands it! I'll make sure to keep checking events, bs-n on the forum and I hope to meet some of you soon.

Thanks,
PW

Very Nice....I bought a Daytona Grey RS4 with the titanium package that includes the titanium colored wheels and mirrors. I really love this color combination. I've already started looking into an exhaust system, Tubi, Milltek(sp), though in sport mode it already sounds like a pissed off cougar.

Welcome and congrats on the RS4. I don;t think I've actually seen one in person yet. Look forward to seeing you at some of the gtg's!

Yeah it's something else. You really feel like you're in a near race prepped vehicle. It's tight, mean sounding and ready to scream at a moments notice. I feel like i've won the lottery by purchasing this car, it's just so amazing. I was really in love with my S4, but this car is on an entirely different level. You feel like you're dating a movie star when driving the RS4.

Look forward to meeting you guys at GTG.

I have a co-worker who purchased a new Boxster S and after taking a ride in my car he wishes he would have goon the RS4 route. I'm looking forward to some track days, if they still hold them up at Second Creek....cheap if the price remained the same as it was a few years back.

sorry man, second creek is closed.  as is the track in Mead, and PPIR too.  closest track is Pueblo I think.

For now...there are a few tracks in various stages of the build process.  Fingers crossed, we may see a new track within an hour of the mousetrap sometime next summer.

Welcome to the club!  Nice choice on the RS4.  There's a black one that comes out to autocross every once in awhile, and I've seen a white one turning laps down at Pueblo during the track day in October.  If you have any questions about autocrossing or getting on the track, I'd be happy to answer them.

I have looked at the new RS4 a couple of times but just can't seem to justify it. AWESOME sounding car. Matt's has the Miltek exhaust on it and it is one of the sexiest sounding cars I have ever heard.

The darn thing is just not fast enough  to give up my stage 3 B5 S4 for. Maybe when they come out with the 09 twin turbo S4 again.  :D

Just saw the RS4 that's running around Billings. No Audi dealership here, so not many Audi and the B7 RS4 is especially rare here.

What's the diff between the two?

So Pueblo is the closest track...that's about 3 hours from Denver, correct? I guess it would be nice to go down there for a week-end. Do they have both Sat-Sun open for use?

I had a 2001 B5 S4....it is a great car!

Pueblo's around 2 hours from Denver, depending on what how you drive.  Periodic track days are set up on Fridays which will include a lot of VAG owners (watch for posts).  The season's winding down, so track time is more available.  If you're wanting to get out there for a few laps, best bet is to call the track and find out what their schedule looks like.  However, due to insurance requirements, before you can drive Pueblo's track you must have taken a driving course at the track through a recognized sanctioning body's driver's experience event, or through a recognized driving school.  If you truly are interested, drop me a PM and I can refer you to some different instructors that could get you out on track.
