This comes up from time to time so I thought I would post some links and other details.

Colorado
Take special note about the tire size restrictions before heading down for a test.

Also, there is RapidScreen now, so if you are about 6 months out from renewal time this is a good way to get passed. It is not guaranteed but is worth trying to see if you get a notice for an emissions test or not.

"Does New Mexico require emissions testing?

Only in Bernalillo County. Residents of the Bernalillo County and others who commute into Bernalillo County 60 or more days per year are required to have their vehicles tested and to provide proof that the vehicles have passed an emissions inspection test. These tests are available throughout the county at certified "Air Care" stations. For more information about emissions testing, contact the Vehicle Pollution Management Division, 1500 Broadway NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102; (505) 247-2273."

If you want to come to Montana, we don't have any emissions restrictions or testing.

for that matter emissions in CO is only in the 7 county denver metro area.  2 miles north of me is Weld county and testing is not required there.
