I got parts comming out my ears and I need some help.

1 - vacume hoses to be replaced.
2 - TT pedals to install - I think I can DIY
3 - springs and shocks to install 8O

So anyone else need to do some wrenching?

I have some new 18" rims and tires on the way, with spacers and extended lugs, and my front and rear H-sport sway bars coming shortly after...but more like the end of March or early April.

I will most likely do the work during the week though, since that is my weekend, but spring breaks are coming up, maybe we can arrange something....Winston and Alan are the Suspension Gurhu's

I have spring compressors if you need them for your suspension.

cheers

I'm good with wrenching for now, I can lend a hand.  Maybe next weekend...We'll see.  Late March and early April are bad for me though...

I've got to install my chip, and I'm getting wheels in late April, so I've got no wrenching right now, but I'd be glad to stop by and give a handor something.
And I may have some gauges to install in early April as well...

I just did my vacuum lines yesterday. I used the the silicon hose that Pat gave me for 3/4 of the hoses, but I had to use some regular rubber hose for the long one to the DV. I know I should've used it elsewhere since that's probably the hottest place under the engine! I'd like to redo that one and buy some silicon hose from somebody if they have extra from their kits. I also have a boost gauge that has been collecting dust for quite some time. Did you guys get pods yet? Also like to look into fixing my power steering fluid and washer fluid leaks.

Hmmm...Boost gauge.

Where did you get them and where are you mounting them.  A-Pillar in my car is danger with the airbag so I am wondering if there is an alturnative?

TIA

PS - I will have all parts on Friday, so this weekend could be a possibility for me, if we want to go that soon.

I don't have an airbag, so I'm going with the dual pod on the A-pillar...I'm getting the VDO vision series with the anti rattle 'T' connector and LED's from 42 draft designs

What about this weekend?  I think the weather is going to be good and that means beer and grill-ables is an option. 8)

Hmm...I wouldn't mind doing a Saturday GTG, but that would conflict with the drive...
And Sunday is a good day as well. I might even have my gauges in by then...not sure though if my wife is going to give them to me yet as my Birthday is not officially until Tuesday.
So then, I wouldn't have anything to wrench...but I'll stop by!

Other alternatives from the posts above make it look like we could have another big grilling, beer-drinking GTG in early April/late March.
Just a though. I'm impatient though and want to do all my mods right away :P

Other alternatives for the gauge are on top of the steering column, in the vent dash in the center console and I know that ABD does a wicked cool dash conversion on the drivers side I believe, between the vent and light switch. I've also seen them in the roof between rearview and console light (I think) it's weird.

hmmm, I'm holding off on buying any more mods until the summer (I'm broke right now), but I do have a set of Hella triple horns lying around I want to replace with my stock horn.  I could also spend a little and get either the W8 LED sunroof console or the TT/Phaeton pedals in the meantime to get my additional mod fix!

Does anyone have a VAG com?  We could also do the Tip sport mode mod.  That's relatively fast and easy.

I could do some wrenching... im always down to wrench. I would like to look at ripping all of this lose plastic crap out from under my Golf, I need to look into it a little more but as far as I can tell its useless. And if is useless off it go's. Just let me know when and where...

Also I have access to a set of ramps a 3 ton floor jack and some stands. If these items are needed I can bring them up.

  :) Wrenching + beer + munchies= fun

What can i do for a  good cheap mod? Someone has to have a good idea.

Heck maybe i can start modding the wifes TDi.. Anyone around here sell the tuning box's for the TDi's... 8)

Im tellin you Eric  take out the grille inserts on the lower bumper, I think it looks good at least... Ill have to post a pic for you to look at... not much of a mod though takes all of 30 sec to take them out.

Ill try and think of something cool and cheap for you.
