« on: March 09, 2004, 10:24:04 PM »
Well, they arrived today, made me vary happy, but my spacers and extended bolts did not come yet...so I have to wait to show the final results...and to have Mike R. do the 402 mod to really show off the wheels.  But here is a shot of the new spinners....note, the old rims were 17"...don't the new ones look HUGE?!?! 8O

Those are sweet but was really hoping to see a pic of some Escalade wearing 24" Chrome spinners.  Damn Jon where's your taste gone?!

I do like the 5 spoke design.  They do look sharp and BIG!

Man, you people that change your wheels every four weeks whether you need to or not, need kids in your life to take up all that extra cash laying around.

Of course I'm jelous!!!  :x

Hey Jon, I didn't think the All-Road had the same 5 x 112 bolt pattern as the Passat or A4 - A8. Hmmm...

:onfire: Those look great BTW!  :D

Chas...same bolt pattern, just different offset.  For the allroad the OEM 17x7.5 rims are et 25, and with a wider rim, such as what I have 18x8.5, they recommend making it at least et20.  The wheels I got are et30 and I will be getting 12mm hubcentric spacers...which makes et18.  It will fill perfectly as they have test fit this exact set up on a customer car there.  I have seen the pics, can't wait to get them rolling on my ride themselves.  The tires I am running are 245-45-18 Falken Azenis ST115's.  Have not tested them yet as I don't have my spacers, but I know Pat has them for his new summer tires, and so far, so good.

PS...this is the first new set of wheels I have bought since I had the Blue Passat and had the CH's and Spiders for winter....that was almost 1.5 years ago.  If I had kids, my priorities would be WAY different, that is for sure, but since it is just me, I play a lot.  Would it bother me if it were the other way around, not so much...having kids is way cooler than having all the car crap, maybe one day that will change for me.:sigh:

Jon, the wheels look great!  Where did you order the spacers and extended lugs from?

I'm back, as of last night...I have the wheels and tires, but no spacers and extender lugs yet.  Got them all from the same place, but they forgot to send the spacers and lugs.  It was part of a group buy over at www.audiworld.com  I will not say who I went through yet, as I am having some problems getting my spacers delivered...and you all know how I am when it comes to customer service...lets just say I am a little miffed right now, I was promised delivery while on vacation, but no packages at my house when I got home last night...darn it :onfire:

Well, my spacers and lugs are on and I am rolling with the proper offset.  I will take more pictures this week and post them up for everyone.  I think it looks great, nice lines, good fit.

I just realized I need spacers for my 17"s :(  The fronts rest on the calipers.

that sucks.  H&R make direct fit spacers.  you can order them from parts4vws.com, cuz we get a discount, get the hubcentric ones and extended lugs.  You can also get them from AutoSport Werks in Broomfield, they have them in stock, $96 per set, you need 2 sets, and $40 for all the lugs you will need.  Saves on shipping.  So check the difference.  They have the 10mm hubcentric instock right now, since I have been on the phone all week trying to find options if my other spacers did not arrive.  I have 15mm spacers, and they work perfectly....but I have a different set up all together, more of a suspension issue, but my rims cleared the calipers, which should be the same on yours...same clearance issues.

Or your other option is to get 19" ballah's and go real pimp like DubItUp, he has 19" on his A6 2.8...it is a very sweet ride 8)

Here is a small taste of what they look like on the car, with the new Zimmermans behind the rims.  It is now lowered, and the H-sport sway bars are on the way.  I also have a Samco blue hose kit coming for the throttle body and Intake pipes.  But those pics will be down the road.

Wheels look really nice.  IM guessing they are 19's?  What was the offset of them before the spacers, and what kinda spacer did you use?

Think we can get a full side shot?  Please?

Steve, they are 18x8.5, stock et is 30 with a 15mm H&R hubcentric spacer, so my final et is 15.  I will get a full side shot later next week, right now the car is pretty dirty from rain and I don't want to wash it since it is gonna rain again soon, or so they say...but check back in and I will have some good ones for you next week

cheers
