I'm getting my motorcycle license this summer... so I won't be experienced enough by then to want to do that... and might not even have a bike yet either.  Maybe next year.

Wow, sounds like a cool ride...  Too bad I don't have a bike, or a license for that matter :P

I may be out for this. I have been planning on it, but I haven't been able to ride for the last two weeks and I'm not sure when I will be able to ride again. Well I can ride, but lets just say the risk factor is too great to do it. :(

I think my friend Joe is still interested in doing it so if you are still planning on riding I will put him in contact with you.

If something changed drastically and there are still openings I will be in, but at this point sadly I am out.

thats a bummer.  If your friend can go, have him join us.  NeverSummer from AWRM and I have both already signed up.

Hope you get back to the point where you can be riding safely.  best of luck Jay.

If I had a motorcycle, and the day off, and my license again, I would do this in a heart beat :D.

Maybe one year, I will be on a normal person schedule and I can convince Betsy I NEED a motorcycle....then I can join in.  I think that ride falls in the EPIC category.

Jay - you are gonna be missed tomorrow.  I have got the motorcycle all ready to go and have my stuff all packed.  I'll take pics along the way and will post them up later this weekend.

Looking forward to a good long ride.

Have fun, be safe. I'll be thinking about you guys. We will probably head to the hills for the day so maybe we'll see a group or too.

I think I can start riding again, but the last thing I need to do is get out for a 400 mile ride as my ride back.

thats too bad.  you could be at 1400+ by the time we got home tomorrow afternoon.

nothing like adding 50% to your bike's mileage all in one day!

Was this the same route as two years ago? Looks like it was a great day, I am still very sad I couldn't go. Next year for sure.

nope, different, all new route.  we missed you. I am looking forward to next year.  they said that one will be the 10th anniversary ride and that it should be an extra special event.

Yeah, like Andrew aid a decent tank bag should do you well. Also, if you ask around, some folks are pretty cool about loaning out their soft bags/saddle bags for bikes like yours. If you need to carry more.

On a side note, I am going to do some maintenance on my bike today and hopefully get back to riding to work this week. I can't say I have missed out riding in the heat, but I have missed riding terribly for the last month or so.
