A4 Tokico Illumina Suspension Kit
« on: March 15, 2004, 06:25:45 PM »
Does any one have Tokico suspension products? Im looking for a suspension kit that will be a good bit stiffer than stock, but I also dont want to break the bank in the process.
Here is the link to the kit, I thought that this was a pretty good price.

Any input would be awsome, thanks in advance everyone.

Cheers Greg

Please do not get the Tokico kit.. Look into the Eibach Prokit (matched springs and dampers). I feel the H&R kit is too low for good handling. The MKIV chasis does not like lowering beyond maybe 1-1.25". You can get the prokit from shox.com for $500.  If you want the best performance vs. the look the SRS kit is the tops. But it doesn't really lower the car  (lowers the rear 1", front 0" Makes the chasis level, can look funny, designed for use with 16" wheels due to the spring rate).  If you want looks more than performance than the H&R kit works great. If you want a combination the Eibach Prokit is a great combo. If you want a stiffer combination system than  look to the Autotech/Sachs Racing matched set like i am running.

The best thing you can do is drive a few cars before you buy a suspension package. I highly recommend you drive my setup before you spend any money.. Seeing as i have had 4 differnent suspension packages on my Jetta, i have spent a fair amount of money and time figuring out what works and what doesn't..
