Meet Boulder AudiWorld group, Sunday, Feb 2nd x-post list
« on: January 28, 2003, 04:01:04 AM »
I am going to go and meed our brother B5 owners up in Boulder this coming Sunday, February 2nd.  They are

meeting on the top level of the parking structure that is at the end of Pearl Street Mall, between Pearl Street and Walnut, and between 15th and

16th.  They will meet at 1230pm, then go get some lunch at Old Chicago's in Boulder, then possibly go for a Drive.

Just wanted to throw this out so that everyone interested can attend.

For those coming from the South, we can meet at my house at noon, then drive to Boulder together.

I'm going to connect this thread to

CB5 as well, there may still be some Colorado folks out there that might be interested but don't visit here.

I will bring my FRS as well, good idea Jay. 8)

My brother is going to let me know

tomorrow if he can make it. Also, I checked the weather forecast and it looks like rain/snow on Sunday. Maybe I won't be putting the 17s on

because "they be only fo' decorayshunz. WOOOOWOOOO."

Well put me down as a maybe for

lunch at least.  Does anyone know what drive is planned?  It would be easier to plan if I had a time estimate to give Ray.

Rian if you go maybe you could bring the lugs?
Even if I can't make it, you could hand them off to Jon since he's really close to me :)

Wendy, If Rian does come, and you

don't, and he brings the lugs...I would be happy to get them for you.

Not sure about the drive.  I'm guessing Nick will have a couple in mind and be open to suggestions.  This is turning out even better than I had

hoped!  It'll be nice to get our secluded group out in the community and meet some more car freaks.

Pat, we aren't so secluded any

more!  I think we inspired Bfalchuk to start his own club, which is quite a compliment!

I'm looking forward to this weekend to go for a drive.  Hopefully I will have my vaccum lines changed out by then...

Still trying to find a switched power wire for my boost gauge...What a PITA!

I'm putting the lugs IN THE CAR so that where ever I am..... there they are!

Hey homies, I can't make it to the boulder gtg.  This really sucks, I have to work.  I let Pat down the other night for the same reason.  I guess when you're the rookie you get called first.  If we get the problems taken care of quick enough I'll give you guys a call to see where you're at.

Have fun and tear it up for me. :(

We had a good time overall, except that Shum's brother had his car broken into.  Very sad   I feel so bad for him, I only wish there was something we could have done.

anyway, here is a pict form the gtg, and one form the broken window.

Got 'em, thanks.  Now I just need the will power to resist reading them until I'm in the air!  Can I bring them back to you in early March?

Sorry Buddy, but video ain't gonna happen.  35 mm is mah style, ya know.
The Nordschleife?  Huh?  We don't have many detailed plans, as my friend that lives there has some things in mind for us.  We're open for suggestions, though.  What is that?

The Nordschleife is the north ring of Nurburgring.  From what I understand, this is the most likely candidate for the loop you will drive, since it's open to the public.

Do you remember the videos that were going around of the M5 and M3 and Porsche GT3 on the track in Germany?  These were on the Nordschleife...I have them if anyone wants to see them, but they arenot small in size...

For some reason I think the only part we'll get to go on is the main race circuit.  I don't know the name, but think it's less than two miles.  I now remember the part you're looking at.  A lot of it is throught the trees.  I'll do what I can to drive that, but I'm not sure how likely it is.
