You guys can do whatever you want.  I expressed my opnion, and that's all I can do.

If you don't want to show a car that you have worked hard on and want to pay $2.00 to park with me and other Audi owners that's fine.

If you want to try and win an award that we are sponsoring, the only way you can do it is by showing your car and parking it on the green.

However, if you are planning on going, be it in an Audi or a VW, please post here for a head count.  Would be nice to roll in together so the Passats can park together and the Audi's can as well.

Any MKIV owners can get grouped together as well in their class.

So report in if you are going.

I am not sure if i am going to show up or not.. But if i do, i will be parking outside with the Audi's.

Why do that?

If you have a VW park it in the VW area.  It's free for one, and secondly it's fun.

Don't Worry Pat.  I'm going.

Why don't we meet up somewhere central, like some place downtown, then roll over to Golden after that?

Alex, we hope you can make it even if Audis have to aprk separately.  It will be good to meet some new people and see old friends too.

JR and I are trying to get an RMCB5 banner together, but the sponsorship angle is going slower than we though, so this might not be ready until DATR.

You guys post where you think a good place to meet would be so we can all roll in together.

The Lamar's on 6th and Kalamath, right? That's not a bad place to meet because then we can just jump on 6th and it's a straight shot to Golden. As far as a time....how about 7am. That way we can grab donuts, hang out for 20 minutes and then leave - we'll get to the Fairgrounds as soon as the gates open for cars entering the show.

Do we want to get there as soon as the gates open?

Just to be clear, since Broadway and Kalamath are about 10 blocks apart, Lamar's is on the Southeast corner of 6th Avenue and Kalamath. :)

Ok, so the Show is 8:30 - 3:30, gates open at 7:30.  I don't really see the need to be there before 8:30 and it should be a short drive from Lamars to Golden (hell i do it every day).

So whatever the consensus is I am with that.  Please, again, everyone that is planning on going please post here so we can get a head count.

I guess we can bump it up a bit, but I'd like to get there a little earlier than 8:30, say 8...I want to have decent parking for the Passats.

I'm not sure how VWOTG will be parking wise, but I don't want it to be like DATR last year, where we were sausaged together and everyone else, especially the the GTI guys, had tons of room between themselves and the next car. We couldn't even open our doors all the way...And with 4-5 of us entering we should get ample room!

Here's a head count, from what I think I know...

Passats...

Chas
aowhaus (maybe)

Non-Passats...

Cars will be parked as they arrive by class
ie.

All MK 1's will have a section etc...

So I would assume you'll be parked in the order that you arrive.

Seeing that most of you have Passats you're pretty much for sure gonna be parked to each other anyway.
Works out good for the majority of the B5'ers

I'm not sure what you mean...I know we will be parking together and that's appropriate, but what I don't want is us to have 2-feet in between me and the next guy...

Ok...now I understand.

Yes they have addressed that issue this year and they are planning to mark out the alloted parking spaces so they are larger and not as cramped as last year.

Well, I forgot, I told a client that I would work for him this coming Sunday. It's a fairly funky story that we are following. But lets just say it has to with a female who became a male and is now a preacher. Hmmmm...

But I don't have to be at the church untill 1pm, so I think I'll come up there with you guys in the morning, but head out around 12ish or so. You guys are just going to have to accept the trophy for me I guess. Thanks!

I don't see anyone backing out?  Chas will be there until about noon, JR will be a game time decision.  Alan, c'mon Alan, you know you;re going ;) Mark will be there, and hopefully we can scrounge up a few more.

I know, hence the J/K.  Should be a good time.  I'm trying to decide when I will be able to detail the whip still.  I have no time any more!
