Mini Garage Day, Wednesday March 31st
« on: March 26, 2004, 12:56:50 AM »
I will be installing the H-sport Sway Bars on the Allroad in the morning, Greg is coming up from the springs to lend a hand.  Then Hawk is coming over in the afternoon to work on some brakes and his leaking headlight washer sprayer.  After that, we, Pat included since he will be here too, will be headed to Jim's Burger Haven (or Heaven as Pat likes to call it) for dinner.  All those interested in a Wednesday tool day, or just a burger night, let me know, I will PM you directions and numbers.

cheers

Boy you know I'd like to do the rear brakes on the Passat.  Will that take long?  If not I'd like to come by and hang for a few and do that.

No problem, we can do that while working on Hawks front brakes as well.  It won't take long at all.  Do you have all your stuff in yet?

Yep, been sittin on the pads for a few weeks now. I need to bleed the brakes still, but it's not a huge issue at this point.

Alan, too funny.  We will miss ya.

For those that have nothing better to do on a Wednesday, like work or things like that...I will be starting on the Sway bars around 10am so that I can finish around the time Jay and Hawk show up to do their brakes.  I will need to get the Allroad done so they can get into the garage.

cheers

I have the group Brake Bleeder too! I have no idea how to use it, but I figure while changing my rear pads I could probably bleed the brakes for the Passat?

I think we hit on this before, but how much brake fluid would I need to do a flush?

Whoa!  I haven't been checking this thread much and didn't realize how many people were going to show...including Worff.  Very cool.
I bought a grease gun over the weekend Jon, so let me know if I need to bring that Wednesday.
Oh and Worff, stick it to those bastards! :-)

GIETL, you will need about 1 1/2 quarts to do a full flush.

I'll be over early to mid afternoon.  I planned on making some sales calls in those parts in the morning.

I need help removing a door panel.  Anyone know how to do that?

TIA
Rob

Hello all, My b-day is Wednesday. I am getting a new computer shipped to my work that day. I might go in until I get it and then take the day off and stop on in to finally meet some of you guys. I really dont have any mods to do right now but I would love to hang out and drink some brews while you all work.- ya know possibly adding some assistance here and there where I may be some help. Also, I just got a call from this guy who I might be renting a house from in Highlands Ranch. That would mean a new house/G2G party is in store for the next month or so.  I'll keep ya posted. It also has a nice big oversized 2 car garage. Great for those G2G / bbQ days this summer.
