« on: January 09, 2009, 05:57:31 PM »
"...Booyah: 2009!..."

The all euro-enthusiast Denver GTG, the first of 2009, will be on Sunday, January 25th, 2009 @ 1:00pm[/color].
Time to start the 2009 year, and why not kick it off with your fellow CO euro enthusiasts and friends.

We'll be meeting in the parking garage next to Dick's Sporting Goods.

Dick's Sporting Goods
7313 W Alaska Drive
Lakewood, CO
(303) 600 - 2600

Basic Directions are:
* 6th Ave west to Wadsworth
* Wadsworth south to Alameda
* Alameda east to Vance St
* parking garage is on east side of Vance

* enter and head to second level to find the group!

PLEASE come with a positive attitude; many are meeting each other for the first time.
We don't anyone to crash the fun in the first of the year... that's never good!

NOTE  There will be no reservations set; this will be a "free-for-all" event.

NOTE:  Also, there will be a few OBDII VAG-COMs and other scanners being brought if you need a scan.  Just ask and we'd be glad to help fellow owners out.

Questions, concerns, comments? Feel free to IM me!
Some do arrive a little early (15 - 20mins) in the lot to meet and greet.

See all encompassing threads for expected attendance.

- Erik

I certainly hope to make it, have a work day with other Scout owners on Saturday so I might be skiing on Sunday. We'll see. Anyway, glad to see these still going, always a nice time.

So I have to be elsewhere at ~1:45. If tuning goes well in the AM I might try and get lunch at/near Belmar before 1pm. Post up if your down for lunch before 1 pm.

LOL,  I hear ya, we opted to not go skiing. Which bummed me, but I didn't want Renee to freeze. I'm a little on the fence about the GTG, and my car is very very dirty.

If you go Jay, let me know, I will make it out, then maybe after a short, short amount of time in the cold, we can go grab some grub.

Hmm, not a bad idea at all.OKay, I am going to eat some breakfast and get cleaned up. I froze my tail off yesterday working on the Scout so I don't plan on doing that again today.

Lets go, hang out for a few then go get some food, that sounds like a good plan.

So far, just some very light flurries here in Lakewood.  I'll probably head over about 1:00 unless I get sidetracked on something.

pics from today, I was only there for about 30 minutes, then grabbed some lunch with Jay and Renee, when I got back, everyone was gone, it was wicked cold and standing around in a parking structure on a bitter cold day like today was NOT fun, but the people were cool, and there were some really nice cars there.  I only grabbed a few shots, so here they are.

I know this car looks rough, but Chuck is doing the RS4 body conversion himself...all the body work, etc. He just gets a kick out of driving his car around like this, makes us all laugh. :)

Coolest little kid driving his daddy's S4 Avant...The guy also owns a couple of MINIs

Chuck's fatty summer tires for his RS4 conversion :)

Welp, tuning/wrenching went past 1pm so I had to go straight to other plans. Oh well, getting a feel for 034 EFI and have functioning O2 and DV!

Looking forward to a warm weather GTG.

No way, I'm 99% sure that guys my neighbor. I've always seen his 4 or 5 Audis but never had a chance to talk to him about them. When I saw him drive by in that thing I though he was in an accident, good to hear otherwise! Bummer I missed all you guys... Hoping to be there next month!

Chuck lives in highlands ranch, I think between Uni and Broadway off of HR parkway. I believe that is his only Audi.

Ah gotcha...

I saw this car driving up to my neighbor's (don't exactly see a lot of modified Audis out here) and he used to have an Imola B5 S4 which I haven't seen it for a while so I ass-u-me'd...

Looks like an awesome project though!
