anyone else feeling old?
« on: April 08, 2004, 11:43:47 PM »
I was just talking to greg (bluegolfturbo) for a little while.. And well I am starting to feel pretty old.  Is anyone else starting to feel old, or is this just unique to me? I only have 17 years left till retirement, and i still have lots to do.

17 years until retirement, what age are you retiring at.  I would never guess you to be in your mid to late 40's.  I have 30 years, assuming retirement is in the 65 year old range....but maybe I am wrong.

I do feel old though, but not because of the young folks like Greg, but because I just feel OLD

Though I am in my early 30's, there are days that I can start to feel old.  Things get sore that didn't used to and the few gray hairs that have been popping up do not help much.  Now if wisdom and patience would kick in, I would be a better person!

my wife and i decided that we have about 17 years till we enter our partial retirement stage. plan on working 1/3-1/2 time when we enter retirement and then slowly go to little or no work over the following 5-6 years.  don't worry jon i am probbaly older than your think. I still have a lot of  of saving left to do, but as far as i can tell i am only about 2-3 years off of my plan.

greg -  thanks again for making us feel old you youngin' you.

Go have a beer. It'll make you feel better. Also, if you get carded, stop feeling old. If you don't.. you're an old fogey.
I'm almost 30 and still get carded all the time. Woohoo!

I have grey hair, I am divorced, I have arthritus (sp) and a kid.  I have a fast car but I can still ride my bike to the top on Lookout Mountain in less that 25 minutes.  I can ski anyone, of any age, into the gorund.  I guess I am aged, but by no means "old".

Granted I am only 26.  So who knows...

I am not ready to even think about being old, so am I crazy or just in denial?
