Garage Recommendation Request - North Front Range
« on: March 24, 2009, 01:07:56 AM »
A guy I work with lives in Firestone up near Fort Collins/Longmont and had his timing belt go on him on his Jetta, which I believe is a diesel.  It's got about 125K miles on it and he is looking for a good reasonable shop up there where he can take it to get fixed.  Does anyone have any experience with good shops up in that area?

TIA!

I've heard nothing but good about SCR Performance.

Thanks guys.  Has anyone used them?  I need to pass along contact info to my colleague, so I will take a look to see what I can find and pass it along to him.

I'm sure he will appreciate it.

I'm more than happy to give a personal recommendation for SCR - great bunch of guys who really know their way around our cars.

I second Ian's comments.  Mark is a great guy who knows how to take care of his clients.  Not sure of their experience with TDI's but they do know cars well.

SCR is in Loveland.  I've been there several times.  I would bring and have brought my own car there.  Probably his best option that far north.  Or maybe Avalon on the north side of Denver.

Thanks guys.  Ian, my buddy Brian Connor will use you as his referral, so with SCR's referral program you can get a discount next time you use them.

Brian's poor diesel, needs help so I feel better with him going to a good shop up near where he lives.  If he was down here, I'd send him to Randy.

I work in the same parking lot as SCR, so if you're in the area, let me know.  We can do lunch.

In the same parking lot?  I thought you worked at SCR.  You did when I met you.
