For real, he sat in the studio, took off his helmet, and confirmed his identity.

Don't watch if you don't want to know....these are not spy shots, this is planned footage, they willingly gave up the identity of the Stig.

Shumi probably never drove as the Stig except for the lap in his personal Fxx.  Too bad he did not do a proper lap in the Liana though, that would have been interesting.  The F1 drivers in the old Liana are always interesting to see.  Hamilton's wet lap in the Liana was astonishing.

Word is that a few people have driven as the Stig for particular cars, I would expect the F1 car lap was not the usual Stig but rather a team driver for that particular car.  Also some rare/expensive cars may have been driven by owners dressed as the Stig.

The usual Stig is probably Ben Collins.
