2010 Golf?
« on: November 23, 2009, 08:31:42 PM »
Thoughts? Considering maybe possibly remotely doing a TDi next year...maybe.

This is the one I built: http://www.vw.com/tu/?tu=1378041

Hefty price, but the TDi appears to come with many nice options standard, but I felt like I needed a few tings :)

Hmm, could do a Jetta Sportwagen for about the same amount.

I built a really nice white GTI... don't have $37K though :(  I need to find the funds for an R20.

LOL, yeah the GTI prices up really quick. I like the new look and the lack of chrome on the 2010's. I see the Jetta sedan did not seem to get the new look, other than the sportwagen.

VW group needs to get back their roots and make the GTI more affordable. Most of liked it for the bang for the buck. At the new Gti prices i will look at the A3 instead. I just wish the A3 w/ tdi had the quattro avaliable.

my parents are going to get a 2010 TDI golf 4door.  I'm not sure when they are ordering it/buying it, but they have decided to get one.  Are they available yet?

Wow, Ian.  $32K for a GTi?  That's just stupid.  Maybe not even that smart.

The R20 ... I sure hope so, but they're going for 32K Euro in England, so $48K here.  And I thought a $32K GTI was insane.

No "R20" but the new GTI R

If this makes it over like this with the right options, you're going to see a part-out of my mk4 and I'll be buying one of these.

Oh and you can't do a straight conversion of pounds to dollars for price on the UK site.
If you did that, a TDI in the UK for 17,325.00 GBP would run $28,005.15.
It's more like 22k here.

They will likely adjust the price to be similar to the previous R models.
