It's  little early for April fools don't you think????

All joking aside, I understand the reason for selling. What is the plan after this?

Wow...I can't believe it's only now starting to show some signs of issue. That's been one amazing car.

It has been a hell of a car.  I'm going to miss it.  A LOT.  I feel like before owning this car I didn't know anything about cars.  Now, thanks in large part to you guys, I feel like I have a good grasp on how many things work.  Heck, I even did my first oil change with you guys.  :'(
 ;D

Not sure what I'll end up with.  Maybe a Boxster S.  I'd like something small, fun, lightweight, German and under $15,000.  That rules out a lot of cars.

Wow, kinda seems like the end of an era!

I'm working on something that's roughly 3 out of those 5 things =)

Besides the S what else are you thinking?

Well look who done showed up!  Great to hear from you.  You still working on the ol' GTi or is that project done?  I thought it was done a couple years ago, but would be surprised to hear you're onto something new already.
I drove a 964 yesterday that was really nice.  However, in both the Boxster and 911 I have headroom issues.  If I end up getting one of them I would need to mount an aftermarket seat on the floor.
I had also considered a TT, but just can't do it.  That's what Mrs. Pat is pulling for, but this will be my primary car, not hers.  She'd be very happy if I got a Boxster, too.  She was not the biggest fan of the 964.  The controls were too heavy for her.
Also considered a Mk V R32 or GTi.  But I just don't think those have the same combo of handling, fun and value that an older Boxster or 911 does.  Not to mention I'm not a fan of FWD.

Oh you know me, perpetual lurker.
Still working on the little green car. Actually, the weather was so nice yesterday that I was out in the garage installing a new alternator since the last one crapped out on me on I25 and I had to get it towed home.  ::) More plans in the works on it to change things up a bit this year, but that's another story.

Yup, something new in the works!

I'm surprised you have headroom problems in the 964. I've never driven one, but my '68 had more room that almost any other car I've owned. I was just in a 996 C4 the other day and didn't notice any problems, but I wasn't driving either.

If yer thinking about a Golf of some sort, I'd try to hold out to see if they bring over the GTI-R to North America. All wheel drive, 265hp 2l turbo sounds pretty tasty to me. Otherwise, a porker sounds f'n sweet!

Thanks again Pat.

I bought the A4 yesterday.  Had a fun drive home.  I'll do my best to take care of it.
