Title: DV question
Post by: kraut-sled on July 09, 2004, 10:41:50 AM
I have recently aquired a Forge 006 DV and I am shocked at how big it is 8O

Are there different sizes or are DV's just bigger that I first thought.  It is about the size of my fist...

TIA

The metal ones are bigger than the stock plastic ones for sure. I also have the 006 and the other option was 007 which is supposed to be a little more compact. I think velo has the 007 one. Any way, there is plenty of space down there for it so no worries.

Thanks gent's.  I will be doing the swap tonight, so I will report back after it is all done.

BTW - I am really pissed off, becasue I just broke a bolt on my rear shock mount and I have to try to fix that too.

Friday night excitement for me is an all night wrench-a-thon.

IIRC, the 006 is a little larger than the 007, and they are both probably larger than the stock one.

The DV install was easy - well thats because a lift make life easy, no matter what.  I am noticing a more consistant boost pressure in the system and it seems to hold longer at peak.  So I am pleased.

As for the broken bolt.  A drill, a hammer and some cursing and it was all fixed.  The bigger problem is that it did not fix the rattle I have in the rear, so I am not too happy about that.
