Title: Garage Day, Wednesday October 20th
Post by: 03Indigo on October 05, 2004, 07:08:39 PM
I will be installing another set of H-sport sways on a fellow Audi World guy's allroad.  We will start in the mid afternoon and then hit Jim's Burger Haven afterwards.

Just wanted to through it out there if anyone was interested, either in watching the wrenching, or enjoying a few burgers at Jim's.

cheers
jon

Jon -

I still owe ya a dinner and that seems like a fine place to pay up ;).

I'll let you know for sure as we get closer.  Hard for me to commit this far out with work.

no worries Jay, dinner is not that big of an issue, it would just be cool for you to join us if you can make it with your schedule

Jon, I'ma come over and do my brakes that day. I'm replacing all rotors and pads.

We can all see how ground to flakes my rear rotors are...HA!

I'll need to bleed and new fluid them too. I've never done it, so anybody's help is welcome.

we can do your brakes here, no problem, I don't know how to bleed fluids though, so unless someone else can tell you what to do, I can't help there.

Just make sure you come over earlier, as we will need the entire garage for the allroad, can you come over in the morning? like 10-11am so we can do your brakes, just in case we run into any problems?

I'd like to come an install my H&R's and new bilstein adjustables. Does anyone have the right tools for this(spring clamps, etc.), that I can use? I ordered the shocks yesterday, hopefully they will be here by tuesday.

It is all confirmed, I do have a customer in town so I won't get out of Boulder until 5 or 5:30.  From there I'll head past your place and will at least be able to join you all for dinner.

Update

I won't be doing my brakes that day. Things are not coming together very well...I will be changing my rear pads though...I'm going to upgrade in the spring probably brake lines and all.

no problem, come on over when you are ready, your rear brake pads should not take all that long, less than an hour by my guess..come on over after morning traffic dies down, like 9-10 or 11, what ever works best for you.  You are welcome to bring the dog as well.

Jon, would you mind if I popped by as well?

I've got a couple small projects to get done that I can tackle myself without a problem, but mostly it would just be good to hang out.

Andrew...you are always welcome, you know that.  Come on by when you are ready.  We will need the garage by 2 pm for the allroad, but outside of that, help yourself!!!

Andy.  What did you end up doing with your ride??

Joey mods?

No joey-mod yet. I'm trying to figure out where to source the clear turn signal lensnes. I don't want to crack open my headlights more than once if I can help it.

Installed the new tail lights and the ECS Dog Bone mount. I'm very happy with both!

Let me see if i can source a part number on those clear lenses.... Hold on.

EDIT: dosent seem to list it or specsify weather its amber or clear.

I was under the impression that part wasn't availiable seperately. Is there a way to check by year? Both you and Andy have the one I want, and I THINK all 2002+ have the amber lenses instead of clear.
