Title: anyone for a weekend garage day?
Post by: aowhaus on November 03, 2004, 02:12:50 PM
Nothing in particular, just a bunch of small mods to do.
Anyone else interested?

I'm down.

I really want to do my TRE's. I would like to have someone who has done this before lend a hand, though...

i'd be up for it if it happens to be a weekend I don't have my son with me. 5 year olds and garage days don't mix too well. :)

I need to get in and tighten up my rear shocks.

Currently the 27th and 28th are best bets, but it is very possible one of the weekends between could open up, i'll have to wait and see (and talk to the grandparents). Pretty sure I can't do this coming weekend (6/7).

I believe the weekend of the 27th is Thanksgiving weekend, which I will be out of town.
The following weekend should be good for me.

Anyone else?

The weekend after Thanksgiving is good for me too.  I can host if no one else wants to.  I plan to do my suspension then.  I am placing the order Monday or Tuesday.

Anyone want my coilovers?  $700 firm.

Wow - what will replace the coilovers?

Not sure if I can do that weekend or not - I'll try to make it though!

I am going with the Neuspeed version of the Bilsteins with a yet to be decided spring choice.

I love the coilovers, but it's just not a family ride quality.

If I get a car that won't be a family hauler, I will go back with the coilovers as they are seriously tight.

well good luck with it. Before I settled on my koni coilovers (which I think are probably softer than your KWs) I had my sights set on the neuspeed bilsteins with H&R sports.

That's pretty much what I am looking at right now.  I may throw a 29mm sway in there for good measure.

I really liked the Eibach Sports that I had on my Passat.  Then again I didn't want a harsh ride nor did I want a mjor drop.  Not to mention I got them for a steal when I did. The price was a big factor :)

I've heard lots of good things about the Eibach pro-system too, and it can usually be found for a very reasonable price.

(that was another of my considerations when shopping for the A4 suspension)
