Title: ebc brake pads

I bought  ebc front brake pads, 2 of the pads have a wire connection what are these for and where do the plug into on my 96 A4. any info would help.

Wear indicators. The metallic material in the brake pad creates a closed circuit. Wear the brake pad down enough and it creates an open circuit causing probably a dash indicator light to illuminate. Connector type is probably round or D-shaped. You can remove one of your front wheels and see the existing wire connector on the existing pads, what type of connector, and where it goes.

Does the 96 model year A4 have the sensor?
