Post by: 03Indigo on April 14, 2005, 10:56:55 PM
this is not everything yet, still waiting for sways, but they are red, gonna have them powder coated blue to match, also getting rims and tires, that should all be here Monday.  Gonna be one hell of an install day...or week as it might be, hehe.

2nd.  Install day sounds good.

I'll volunteer to host if folks don't mind venturing out of the city a bit.

chances are I will do everything here as I have all the tools and things like that.  Plus, if I don't finish, I can just leave it in the garage and start again the next day...but when it comes to install time, I will let everyone know and if anyone wants to stop on by, feel free.  As you all know, this will most likely be during the week, like starting on a Tuesday and hopefully finishing in one day, but there is a lot to be done!!!  So, I am in no rush and if it takes 2 days, I am totally cool with that.

I can come manage all the needed leftover parts!  There is always a home for  leftover and old parts on ebay; even if your suspension does fall part this will help offset the repair bill :D

ouch   that was a sad day...but I don't ever remember having spare parts, except on this one, I will have spare struts, springs, sways, end links, rims and tires.  but they are all staying here incase I do not like the way it rides after all this is done...and if I ever want to go back to stock to sell, etc.

Thats because you had no-one there to manage the parts inventory.  See it wouldn't have been a problem if I could have been there for you! :)

I did not do the work as the endine needed to be pulled, as you know, twin turbos are a biatch.

they blew while i was driving, it was sad...I have the blown turbos, gonna make lamps out of them, since they cost me nearly $5K to replace.

so, here are a few shots of what has been done, ordered, and what will happen....first, new rims and tires.  Went with the Rota Tarmac in steel grey, 18", and the tires are the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 in 245-45-18.

the picture of the suspension stuff speaks for itself, updated from the original pic above cuz all of the stuff is finally here.  Sways are going to the powder coater for blue matching color this week, installl starts next week.

as the work get's done I will be posting updates to this thread wtih new pictures.

cheers
jon
