Title: Wheels for the b5 S4
Post by: kutarkvalidus on September 08, 2005, 06:31:53 PM
Hey guys, i have been doing some searching, and although i've found plenty a wheel i would love to have, i cant really afford to drop 2 grand on wheels.

Consequently.  I have found a couple i like.  The BBS RA Looks pretty decent, but is kind of heavy at ~26lbs ea.

I have found some other wheels i like, such as the Enkei RPM2, which are very light for an 18" wheel at ~19lbs.

I'm looking for more of a multispoke design, my personal absolute would love to have is the BBS RGR, but $914 per wheel is out of line.

One wheel i have found i really like is the Privat "Zwanzig"  I'm not sure how heavy it is, or whether it will fit, but damn do i love the way it looks.
I did find it comes in a 18x8 with a 40 offset.  Now most of the other wheels i have found that "fit" this car in that size are approx a 32 to 35 offset.  Do any of you foresee this being an issue? where i to purchase that wheel?

Also, if anyone has any suggestions, i am definitely open to different opinions.  There have been a few 5 spoke and 6 spoke styles i like, but again the issue is the deniro.

I know what you mean - BBS are hawt but really expensive. I found mine used, but you have to be patient. Two sets I was looking at, both with tires from private sellers; RCs for $1700 and CHs for $1200. I ended up with the CHs but really wanted the RCs (someone local beat me to it). So they are out there, take a look at audiworld classifieds (http://classifieds.audiworld.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.cgi) for starters.

40 offset will be fine. I think your stock wheels are 17x8x45, so anything lower than 45 will fit without a problem. My CHs are 18x8.5x35 and they are a tad too much, I haven't rolled my fenders and they'll rub if I take a corner too hard or go over a dip just the right way.

I can fix that if you want.. I have some 17" OZ SL's that would look good on your car and i will take your CH's..
