Title: 16MM ratcheting wrench?
Post by: gragravar on February 23, 2006, 08:42:03 AM
our cars have several bolts on them that have 16MM heads.  My ratcheting wrench set skipped the 16mm size.  Anyone know where I can pick up a lone 16MM wrench?  Jon, I know you have one, where did you find it?

I am going to help another guy with his H-sports in a couple of weeks and will need to find one before that.

thanks.

I think I got my set from Sears.

I need to pick up another set since it seems like every GTG the tools come out, I end up missing a wrench or two. *shrug* Wouldn't bother me so much, but it always seems to be the 16mm and 17mm ones that dissapear. :(

I'll try sears, and if they dont have a single 16mm, then I'll get with you to have you pick one up for me.

i have a spare set of deep socket metric's. I believe there is a 16mm in the set. if there is one, you are welcome to borrow the set.

I have a socket, but there isn't enough clearance for one for the one bolt I am thinking of.  need the wrench to get a fit.  there also isn't much swing clearance thus the need for the ratchet action.

harbor freight, I got a set there real cheap.  I also have a second 16mm one from sears as back up.  That is the most common size of wratcheting closed end wrench I use.

that may be a good plan.  for that matter when I get the appointment set to install these H-sports, if is during the week, and you want to show up too...

In the mean time though I will try to get in a visit to sears.

who's H-sports are you installing?  we already did yours.  Are you just redoing them?  they have zerk fittings for greasing, or are you doing them on someone else?

I would be happy to help during the week, you know that. :)

I have a few varieties all craftsman.... long and short socket (3/8"), short 1/2" and I have a few wrenches too.

LMK if you need to borrow one... otherwise sears sells them.

I agreed to help an AW noob named Sergei who lives in Greenwood Village with his install.  Mine are fine.

Anyway, don't know that we need the help, but always happy to have you over to lend a hand. (or a wrench).

He is traveling this week, so Ill let you know when we get this scheduled.
