Title: Coilovers
Post by: dubitup on February 24, 2006, 09:17:24 AM
Hey guys,

My coilovers collars are frozen to the body.  What can I do to get them unfrozen.  The car came from Chicago, so they are corroded all to hell, and that is why they won't move.

I'm wondering if I soak them with PB a few times maybe they will move....or what other method?

I was going to say PB blaster all the way. Try and get all the rocks/debis out of the way of the spindle, that could help. You could always blow torch the SOB ;)

take a brush to them and try and clean as much of the grit off and then soak them in PB. You should be able to get them to move, but it will take some time and effort.
