Title: Painting need...
Post by: ianacole on March 14, 2006, 06:11:47 PM
I'm thinking about having the B-pillars painted black.  Any suggestions on who I should go to?  SVE or Apex.  Also, thinking about having the hatch smoothed...same suggestions?

I used Apex -- very satisfied.
Randy is awesome to deal with, tell him I sent you.

I suggest not painting your B-pillars as there isn't a seam or ridge for the black  paint to stop.  I've seen where two colors of paint meet on an interrupted plane and it doesn't really look good.  You may want to find an aftermarket pillar cover and paint it a gloss black, or maybe indent a ridgeline at the top and bottom of the pillar (across the pillar following the top and bottom of the windows) and then painting the pillar.
