Title: You are not helping much....
Post by: evil_O on August 24, 2006, 08:25:58 AM
The list has dwindled to this:

KW Coilovers (http://www.esetuning.com/product-p/kw-coilover-volkswagen.htm)

Looks like I can get the above listed for 1017.

and then there are these:

Koni Coilovers (http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/suspension.jsp?&make=Koni&model=Threaded+Suspension+Kit&group=Threaded+Suspension+Kit&autoMake=Volkswagen&autoModel=Golf+GTi&autoYear=1985&autoModClar=&partNum=1150-5001-1&perfCode=S)

for 1120... I would get them through shox.com though.  Same price but free shipping.  I am leaning towards these cause it looks like I can adjust the dampening on the shocks vs. not being able to with the Variant 1 KWs......*edit*I guess I should say compression and rebound*edit*

Now I am off to find some door handles online.

That is pretty cool, I didn't know Koni had a self drying and self wetting feature.  What benefits does this do?  just for your future reference, damping.

I think for what you are looking at, the Koni's are right choice.

I bought my suspension from Shox.com, been very happy with their service, eventhough Eibach had it on backorder for a while.
I believe I dealt with Darryl at Shox -- great guy.

Yep... I think that is the way to go Koni Coilovers.

Just got done ordering my new door handles.  Both shipped for 29 dollars.  Not bad.

Not bad.  People I have had good luck getting suspension from are:

Mike Potter @ www.parts4vws.com
Jeremy @ Matrix Integrated
