I'll gladly remove the ads, where do I send the invoices for the site?

Jay, instead of the side, are you able to put them into that section that says: would you like to advertise, etc up top?

Also so you know, looks like you need to put a
or
after messages part (before recent posts) up in the quick link section

I can put the ads just about anywhere I choose, there is more to it than revenue.

You're probably one of those people that gets up to go to the bathroom during a commercial break. THIEF! PIRATE!

I totally do, I hate ads, and ignore them. Commercials are great for getting desert, drinks, bathroom breaks, let the dog out, etc. They are not there to sell me on stuff, they are there so I can get up and do stuff without missing anything on my show.

That is what is great about downloading all the tv shows and/or renting them when they come out on DVD

Well the next step is to just embed the ads in the threads, I'm sure you all would love that, so at this point, unless you guys want to buy some advertising space, the ads will be wherever they are mst beneficial for both advertising and for SEO purposes.

They don't bother me where they are at. I barely even notice them.

honestly, the best thing to ever happen to ads on the intertubes was Google's text-only method based on site content.

I know change is hard for folks to come to grips with when it is something they aren't used to, namely ads.

If I were in this for the money, this site would either not exist, or be so covered with advertisements and other garbage to generate every penny it could.

The Google ads and paid advertisers (currently only Randy) keep this site going. Do what you will to avoid the ads, don't click them, it;s your choice.

If you see some thing useful, then by all means, click it. You don't get a whole lot for an ad and Google only pays out when you get to $100 or more. It takes a long time for that to happen.

So it is still a losing proposition for me, but if future returns can help offset current costs then I have something to look forward to.

Now before it is brought up again, I will never seek donations for the site (again). People were very generous back when we had to, but I don't really agree with the practice as it can create problems.

I will always keep the site going as long as it has a value to the community so never fear. However the bills have to be paid and there is a lot of time and effort into something that generates no income for me, so I need to cover the costs somehow that doesn't impact my standard of living.
