So the car is almost completely disassembled. Front and rear brakes are off, front and rear sways are off, front end is off, all belts, rollers and tensioners off, new H2O pump in place. All hubs are nice and clean, thanks to a wire wheel.

Motor will be on the ground tomorrow morning.

We literally have two large tables of parts (top of table and below table) to put on the car.

Almost have everything here, still waiting on RS4 IC brackets and a ltw flywheel, but have tracking #'s on both, so I think we're in great shape.

Car should be up and going this time next week!

Just left the shop.  The motor is in the car and all hooked up, all fluids have been added.  I just put in the rear SS brake lines and bled the entire system with Motul 600.  The car is ready to be cranked over with the fuel pump disconnected to prime the system, then started.

What remains is to get the wheel studs lined up, alignment and corner weighting done, R134a put back in, burp all the systems, bed in the brake pads, then start driving it!

Nice Doc... I love the low end power they have and and the 20%F/80%R power distribution makes it fun like a RWD car with the benefits of the AWD car.   Have a certain color in mind?

I'll take mine in Metallic Plum (purple, that is), Turbo S style ;)

You'll have yours well before I have mine

That's a really pretty color, I'd be tempted for that one as well.

My goal is to get one before I turn 40, 3 years 4 months to go!  Course the wife has already laid out her demand for a ring "upgrade" if I buy the 993tt, so I have to factor that into the price too.  Doh! 8O

I've got just over a year (nearly two) - I don't think it's likely, especially with the cost of some of my hobbies.  Oh well, el mejor bien es pequeno - que toda la vida es un sueno, y los suenos, suenos son.

When my father used to race for porsche he had a 993tt in bright yellow.  It was brilliant.  Performance was amazing (of course), but the nice thing was we could just drive and relax and it was comfy too.... granted it was hard to not drive it the way that car is designed to be driven.

I hate how many yuppie yahoo's have porsches, but they are truely an amazing and "practical" vehicle

Well, picked up the car today, was out of town all last week.

It's, um, FAST!  Hella fast.  Fast enough that one time when I floored it while rolling in second gear, I heard and felt the tires scratch for grip.

Ride is very comfortable, it has a nice tone, but isn't boomy.  Idles like a kitten, but roars like a lion when you lay into it.

I haven't put that many miles on it so far, but I like it!
