Title: Bimmer is ready!!
Post by: JetterBug on August 13, 2007, 08:12:54 AM
Can a warranty be voided if you install your own parts?

Coming Soon...
Dinan free flow exhaust, ram air intake, throttle body & strut tower brace

We really don't want to pay the $110/hour install unless it will void the warranty.

Thanks everyone  :)

PS I went camera shopping this weekend, SOOOOO we will be taking pictures of the cars soon !!!  ;D

Depends on what you're installing...OEM replacement parts, no (with some caveats).  Aftermarket parts, perhaps, and probably, but not entirely.  You cannot void the warranty on the interior by installing a CAI, but you can void any warranty on the MAF, and the dealer could argue other components dependent upon the intake system void as well.
