Title: Anniversary's are GOOD!!!
Post by: 03Indigo on August 20, 2007, 07:57:29 AM
Betsy set me up with a dream natural gas grill!!!

Just finished putting it together this morning.  Can't wait to get the first round of burgers on there!!!  I plan on having a week night BBQ in the next month or 2 to celebrate, once I figure out everything it can do.

Jon, just don't freak out if you come home one day and I'm the backyard grilling. That is one fine looking grill.

I was happy with the old grill, but it is 30 years old ;)  Old cast iron natural gas, etc.  Most of you have had burgers off of it.  it does a great job, but here in Parker, the wind kept blowing it out.  Betsy was frustrated with it, so she insisted on a new one, and she chose an amazing grill!!!

Electronic Ignitor
BTU rating of 60-65K
3 14K BTU Stainless main burners
18K BTU infrared main burner
10K BTU Infrared rotisserie burner
12k BTU side burner
2 storage drawers
bread warming drawer or utility drawer
porcelain cast iron cooking grids
porcelain firebox and heat tents
side shelves
28 burger capacity, cooking surface area is 942 square inches.
and all the regulators and natural gas hook ups/hoses included.
locking castor wheels that GLIDE!!!!
and that large cabient on the right side.

I almost don't want to put it outside it looks so pretty.

you could keep it in the garage, and paint it to match the cooper and the whole garage.... :D

LOL, I could do that, but I KNOW Betsy would kill me for that.  I might have to put some pin stripes on it though :)

so if you got the grill (very nice one) what did you get her?????

Flowers, took her out for sea food dinner, and got a really nice Kitchen Aide toster oven that she has been coveting for over a year now, and some work out clothes that replace the worn out stuff.  The grill was for both of us, she was tired of my 30 year old grill, and wanted a better one that she could use that did not spit out balls of gaseous fire :).  It was her idea, so she says it was a gift for the both of us...although, I think I benefit since I do most of the grilling, in fact, I have done all the grilling since we started dating over 4 years ago.

here is the toaster oven, it replaces a toaster oven that had a door that would not close all the way, and cooked unevenly...

and the grill on the back deck/slab.  We are grilling tonight, homemade burgers, sweet corn on the cob, and veggies from our veggie garden.

and Ian, yes, I do need a sun roof on it, so I ordered a pack of 5 of them, one for each car, one for the bathroom, and one for the grill ;)
