Title: Anyone have a spare Thule lock core removal key?
Post by: 92UrS4 on January 01, 2008, 03:02:34 PM
I used to have like 4 of em and now I can't find any. I need to yank the cores from my bike mounts and put them in my ski racks. I hate to go buy two more lock cores since I never bike and ski at the same time. :)

So if anyone has an extra they are willing to part with or have one I can come over and borrow for a few seconds I would appreciate the help.

I do believe the core removal keys are universal since as I recall they only work when the lock is unlocked.

I haven't needed to switch the locks in a number of years since I couldn't ski for awhile so I think they got lost in one of our moves.

I do, I believe.  I know I have yakima ones, have to go check the spare key sets in the garage.

and you are correct, the core key is universal, to Thule that is.

and I don't use Thule any more, exclusively Yakima these days, so you can have them both.
