Title: Heater Fan motor squeaking!
Post by: English on February 26, 2008, 08:26:34 PM
So my heater/blower fan is squeaking, not all the time, not all speeds, but when it get's noisy it's very annoying!
It sounds like the bearings are worn out so i guess it's time to replace it?
Anyone have any idea's where i could get a new fan? I have seen them from $50 used to $250 new.
Thanks in advance.

you can also put that procedure off for a couple of months by running your fan at high speed and max temp for about 10-15 minutes.  I have been able to do that 2 or 3 times now to quiet mine down.  eventually I'll have to do the cleaning/fix or replacement.
