Title: What is your Throttle Valve Angle?
Post by: zmaninco on November 22, 2008, 03:37:21 PM
On our 2001 Passat 1.8T (B5), the valve angle is 4.6 degrees at idle, and it opens at startup for warm up - all the way up to just over 9 degrees.  The issue I am having is that as the throttle opens, the vacuum drops, and my brakes are poor until the engine warms up.  Once it is wamr, brakes are great.  But for the first minute or so, very poor.

Even when it is fully warmed up, my throttle angle is 3.9 degrees, which still seems high to me.  I tested a 03 Audi A4 the other day and the angle was 2.1 degrees.

If other folks with a VAG can post their throttle valve angles both at start up, warm up, and hot engine, it would be very much appreciated!
