Title: So I got my wheels refinished at Spec Wheel...
Post by: ColoradoB5 on May 13, 2010, 04:15:35 PM
And I have to say, they look great!

I am very pleased with the work they did.  My only complain is that they are so dang far away, it's a real trick for me to get up there during business hours.

Here a shot, since this thread would be useless without pics.

Next up is to get some rubber on those rims.

The wheels look amazing.

What was it that caused you to get them refinished?  Just time and daily driving or was there some damage?  Was the price reasonable?

I ask due to the fact I am thinking in the next couple of years getting the BBS RC's redone on the GTI.  One has a small bend due to a pot hole and the rest, just eight years of daily driving.

Hey Dave, I had two with minor bends in them, but any bend in an 18" wheel with 40 series tires is a big bend.  All of them had road rash from something or another.  Plus the poor clear coat that was on one of the wheels had discolored.

I got tires on them this weekend and finally have them back on the car.  Feels good to be on nice wheels again.
