Title: Lower temp thermo-switch for S4 afterrun coolant pump system
Post by: J4SON on April 29, 2004, 10:28:50 PM
X-post for anyone who wasn't on the audiworld S4 board this afternoon.

Someone found a thermo-switch with an activation point at a lower temp for the afterrun coolant pump. I've only had the afterrun coolant pump come on after track sessions or VERY hard canyon runs. This new switch should make it come on after driving at normal operating temps. I ordered the parts from Stammler today and the total came out to $35, the parts should be here on Tuesday. Just thought I'd tell anyone here in CO who may have missed the post. Sounds like a very worthwhile mod for anyone with a 2.7t, I'll probably post with my impressions.

Jason, thanks so much for the link...there is an increasing number of 2.7T engines here, so that is VERY useful info.

cheers

YEah! Let us know how it goes and works, I would be interested in doing this as well if it turns out to be beneficial.
