Title: Hello RMCB5...
Post by: Chop_Shop on May 06, 2004, 06:50:12 PM
My name is dan and I'm a....  wait wrong board

I have a 2000 Golf 1.8t and noticed one of your members and stoped to chat with him.  Nice guy btw.  He mentioned you guys have quite a few gtg's and I was hoping to meet some new dub guys and see some new cars.  Not sure where most of you guys are located but I'm in littleton for now.

I post on the vortex also.  There is a mt. Evans cruise coming up on May 22nd that I will be attending and possibly some of you guys.  Here is a link...

Simultaneously, I was planning a meet at bandimere.  It will be at the Action Karting track at 3:00pm on Saturday the 22nd also.  I'm not who all will be in attendance.  I have posted this on many boards and hope to get a decent showing.  I have a 95 Maxima also that is being built with a turbo so maxima guys have been invited.  High altitude imports, Colorado Racing Network, VWVortex, an Altima board, and club18t have all been invited.

They have 6hp carts and also 28hp carts.  The price is $30.  These are the real deal.  For the price you get to rent the cart, suit up in a fire suit, helmet, gloves and go raise hell on the track.  Ten laps I believe.  Action Karting does offer a discount but I need a headcount of people interested.  If you're interested, please email Horst_99(at)msn.com

Here is a link to the Karting post...

Hope I can see some of you guys there...

I have a rare breed 1.8t four door...  Black, with cleared out GTI tails, Euro plate, Nuespeed intake, 42dd boost gauge, forge dv and a N75 J.

That's about it...  I also have a 95 Maxima that I have been spending most of my money on.  I've built the motor and am in the process of putting the motor in and turboing it.

Here is a link to my cardomain if anyone is interested...

Let me know what you guys think...

Hey Dan,
I'm in Littleton, too.  I live near Chatfield and Wads.  Sunday a couple of us are getting together to put a small sub in my car and just hang out for a little bit.  If you can make it, drop me a line and we'll hook up.  It'll likely be around 2 or 3.

Guys, this is not at my place.  It's not going to be a GTG.  I just needed help with it, so Ron (AW guy) said he and I could use his garage.  I don't feel right about inviting everyone to his place, especially since I really just met him for the first time a few days ago.  I hope to meet you soon, ChopShop, but I don't think it's going to happen today.  Sorry.

So Pat, did you get it installed?  How does it sound?

Just got it installed.  With me basically handing tools to Jason and me being his bitch it took us seven hours.  I ended up crashing up at his place last night because we didn't have it done.  It'll take some more time to tune it right, but it sounds good so far and it should get a little better.

Dan,  Welcome to the Club!  Great bunch of people here, all interested in sharing knowledge and having a great time doing it!  See you soon...

Yeah, that is if we could find the tools we needed!  I think we spent 4 of the seven hours trying to locate the crap that I lost along the way... guess my brain was fried, who knows... :)

Sorry for the thread being hijacked Dan, we tend to do lots of socializing around here.  I guess you'll understand when we finally get to meet.

You going to VWOTG?
