Title: Great online tunning shop!
Post by: HawkmanA4 on May 11, 2004, 01:37:23 PM
As many of you know I have been trying to figure out what to do with my car and the oem sport non sport spring thing! After trying to find a used set of springs with not a lot of luck, I found revhigh! If you are looking to buy new equipment they seem to have great prices. I got my Neuspeed sport springs there (550226) for only $156+$24(shipping)=$180  :D that is the same price that people are asking for used!! Everywhere else was much higher! Check them out  8)

I will post a follow up as soon as I get them in and hopefull I didn't praise them too soon!! :?

Wow, great deal!
Do you know the spring rates of your current springs vs. that of the new ones?  What about ride height?

I don't know what springs I have right now, but I think I have some sort of audi sport spring. So as far as I can tell from what the Neuspeed guy said was that the their sport springs will be 30% stiffer than the audi sport and will drop it 3/4in. So we will see, I think that I will keep my shocks in the same groves and that will be a good ride for me. I don't think that it will lower it a full .75in so I will still be able to drive in the winter! They are going to be here on Monday so we will see!

Damn, I bet that'll be both lower and stiffer than mine.  We'll see.  Are they progressive rate springs?

Hawk,

I would love to take another ride in your A4 after the springs are in, to compare.  Also, do you need the codes we got of your ECU the other day?

The springs were here last tuesday, and Jon and I put them on the next day (only 3 hours 8) it took that long because we were talking a lot!!)! They did not lower the rear but did lower the front slightly. I will post pics once I get the 18s back on (bent one and luckily noticed it when doing the suspension, the tire was about to blow! )

I love the progressive spring rate!! The ride and locks are just perfect for me! GREAT SPRINGS & GREAT TUNNING SHOP!!!!!!!
