Still around, great to hear from you again. Things are pretty slow here these days as everyone is pretty busy. Glad to see you are still driving VW's!

I'll let you know if I hear of anyone selling one!

Just poking my head in to see if my account still works.  I don't now if Chas, gietl, et al. are still around?

I'm currently looking to buy a used Passat with 4Motion, so if anyone has suggestions, I will take them.

My '99 Jetta is starting to go up in repair bills (need new clutch after 165k).  Thought I might use that money to upgrade to bigger more fun car.  My wife and I miss our 4Motion wagon from 2002.

I never met Elvis, but the loss of a pet is always tough.  I'm very sorry for your loss.

For you old school RMCB5ers you probably remember meeting Elvis at the house I lived at on Colorado Ave. I felt I should share this with you on case we are not connected on Facebook. You probably could care less, but I feel like I should share it. Hope you are all doing well.

Hey, good to hear from you.    I stated a new job, job is in CA but I refuse to move, so I have been spending a lot of time on airplanes.  Things are going well.  The Audi is getting a little old, but otherwise all is well.  Kids, wife and job take up almost all my time.

Your Audi might be getting older, but it still kicks ass!  8)

Not much new here, just working in Gunbarrel and still trying to grow our business.  Still have the S4, first "major" work on it in some time. Replacing the front axle and tie rod end. Good to hear from you all.

Just wanted to update, good call Jay, need a front right tie rod end as well which was affecting alignment.

Doing pretty good here thanks! How are you doing? Haven't seen any RMCB 5 folks in a long time.

Nice to hear from both of you, Mike and Andrew, and that you are doing well.

It has been just over a year since I moved to Toronto.
Things are going well and work has been unbelievably busy as the general economy and real estate market has been booming for a while now. I can't believe how much Toronto has changed and how expensive things has become here.
I moved to downtown Toronto in March, after suffering 3 months of the miserable long commute to work from the suburbs.
My new home won't be finished for another 2-1/2 years, so I am renting in the meantime. Long construction delays are very common here, mostly due to the amount of constuction that is going on in the city.

On the carfront I haven't done much to my C (let alone wash it), since I don't drive it much. I really want to use my scooter in the city, however in Ontario I will need to get a motorcycle license (no matter what size of engine), and I need to get my scooter registered and titled which requires some modifications and lots of paperwork, inspections and fees. It's something I am not looking forward to after going through that with my car.  Hopefully I will have the motivation to do it by next spring, as I have been putting it off for so long.

I would like to visit Denver sometime this winter, unfortunately airfares to Denver are pretty expensive which makes travelling to Europe very tempting.

I hope everyone else on RMCB5 are doing well.
For Sale / FS: 2007 Yamaha R1 with warranty and lots of extras $6500
« Last post by Cole on August 26, 2011, 03:16:07 PM »
I have a wonderful 2007 Yamaha R1 that I bought brand new with an extended warranty that is transferable and good until August of 2012. Rare to find one of these bikes still under factory warranty.

I've had a lot of fun with the bike. Still love it but time for a change.

Full retail blue book is about $7500 but I've found my replacement bike and am willing to make a deal for a fast sale.

$6,500 firm! With that you get a ton of extras.

-Fully adjustable clip ons with billet steering damper mount.
-GYTR Gel seat
-LuiMoto rear seat matched to the bike.
-gutted cat and extra mid pipe with stock cat.
-(-1) front sprocket and stock sprocket.
-heated grips
-Zero Gravity tinted double bubble windscreen.
-Michellin Pilot Road2 tires with lots of life left in them.
-carbon fiber crash sliders and matching rear swing arm spools
-Blaster-X LED integrated tail light

Bike has been stored in an insulated garage 100% of the time when it is not ridden.
All factory service oil changes have been done and a newer battery last summer.
19,500 miles(less than 5,000 per year and all pretty gental miles)
 Near perct shape, never down.

Note: if it's not listed as included above you don't get it! I took a few misc items off the bike for the new bike, they may show up in some of the pictures.

Oh, some lady jumped a curb and smashed into a nicely restored Dodge I think it was. Caved in the passenger door and pushed the car into a car next to it. Looks like it was a classic car meet or show or something. All this running off memory.

Hi Jonathan!

Chances are they are worth looking at, control arms, tie rod ends. They all wear and depending where you are at mileage wise are probably pretty worn. Some are toast as early as 60K some last much longer (into the 100K range).

Hope you are doing well!
